The Augmented Brillo Box model it´s an experimental discursive augmented reality model based on Warhol’s representation of James Harvey’s Brillo corporate design. The original Brillo boxes were exposed in 1964 at New York when pop art was exploring the frontier between normal day life and art. The purpose of this AR model is to set up an starting point for me to get deeper into conceptual reflexions and technical experiments through some artistic installation proposals. Reflecting concepts as every day life, ways of seeing, “ser/estar”, reality and virtuality or the definition of and object as art through technology. The Augmented Brillo Box model exists in first place as a physical object build with paper. This its the real model which you can see and touch. By filtering it through a realtime process, the model reveals on screen a 3d representation of the original Brillo box. Different combinations and dispositions of the model should be implemented in the artistic and technical process. The Brillo box as a symbol is also interesting as it involves commercial, theorycal and artistic issues. The Augmented Brillo Box Model is build at TigreLAB studio, Barcelona, with the help on the video side of Fritz Gnad.
